Google Steps Towards Quantum Supremacy with Sycamore

Google is on a quest for quantum supremacy with the launching of its quantum processor – Sycamore. This advanced processor boasts 53 qubits, enabling processing tasks at an unheard-of speed when compared to classical computers.

The big picture: Google has publicly addressed Sycamore’s monumental ability to solve an extremely complex problem in just 200 seconds, a feat which state-of-the-art classical supercomputers would need approximately 10,000 years to match.
